Turns out the saves are in a super obscure folder (C:\Users\marys\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\Diablo II\Save), rather than in the much more normal D2 folder. I have to imagine that the save files being generated where they are is probably a part of my problem. Yes, I did like all the youtube videos show. Extrac 5-6 files into the PD2 folder and then put the plugy folder in the vanilla D2 folder. Then run Pluggy from PD2 as admin. Backing up save files is easy, just make a copy of your save folder, or the files inside with your character name, and move them back afterwards.
Note to OP: This is for 1.14d (also "Owner" would be whatever your computer profile name is). If you're running an older version for mods, it will be in your D2 directory, most likely C:\Program Files (x86)\Diablo II\save\. 4. Reply. Share.
